April 26-27 2008: PUYALLUP : Trains, Trains and More Trains, Puyallup fairgrounds.
The PIERCE COUNTY LIONEL CLUB is a group of three-rail toy train
enthusiasts with interests ranging from pre-world war II toy trains
up through the modern era. While Lionel is the predominant choice, all other three-rail
manufacturers are represented.
The club recently built a new 14' x 20' sectional train display for local train shows and
events.
The new layout features a mountain and a canyon with a large
scratch-built trestle and many operating accessories.
The inner and outer main lines use Lionel FASTRACK, while the branch-line and
mountain-line use Atlas O track. The layout can be operated with LIONEL TRAINMASTER
COMMAND CONTROL or in conventional modes.
The PIERCE COUNTY LIONEL CLUB operated their layout in the TACOMA RAIL
engine house
on Saturday September 15 2007 as part of the annual TACOMA RAIL OPEN HOUSE.
The following photographs at the TACOMA RAIL OPEN HOUSE were taken by BRAD PAKER (Tacoma Rail Photographer).

mountain.
Wayne, Bob, Travis and Gordy were also part of the setup crew.
They were busy eating pizza and riding trains when this photo was taken.

Check out the nice HOOKER chemical tank cars.

The crowd enjoyed the view from the TACOMA RAIL GP-20 on display next to the layout.

Kids enjoyed looking into the peek-a-boo opening in the mountain.

Another peek-a-boo fan.

Gordy & Travis had a beautiful GN R-2 steam locomotive by somebody not Lionel.

Could there be a fire in the tunnel?
Work will continue on the mountain.

The GN R-2 being passed by Bob' Santa Fe F units.
