About us
TACOMA TRAINS began in 1985 as a N SCALE specialty retailer and was very active
in the promotion of N scale in the Pacific Northwest.
We helped found and organize the TACOMA N SCALE layout, monthly meetings and annual
show in Fircrest, Washington.
With the addition
of other scales in 1992, Tacoma Trains became a full service model train store.
The store relocated in 1994 to our current neighborhood, the Historic PROCTOR
DISTRICT in Tacoma's North end.
Other hobbies were added at this time and they include plastic and diecast models,
rockets, kites
and
THOMAS AND
FRIENDS WOODEN RAILWAY.
Today, TACOMA
TRAINS & HOBBIES is an active participant in our business neighborhood and the model
train community .
We strive to offer friendly and knowledgeable service, while offering our customers
quality products.
